Default flat tops and cam question

I figured for sure I could find something on putting flat tops in a 5.3, but i scrolled about 20 pages and couldn't find anything. So my first question is, Will a cam for an ls1 work fine in a truck 5.3? im looking at the the BTR stage 4 cam. Specs are 235/242 .621"/.592" 111+3 (also what does 111+3 LSA mean exactly?) i was just going to get their stage 4 truck cam but they're out of stock.

Secondly I have gen IV rods with flat tops out of an ls4 5.3. Im wanting to put them in a gen 3 truck engine, I have 243's off the same ls4. So will I run into any valve interference issues with this set up? Also my math is probably way off but i came up with about a 10-1 comp ratio. Please correct me if im wrong. Do you gentlemen think this set up would jive together?

Im a noob at all this aftermarket wizardry, so please excuse my ignorance and thank you in advance.

That cam may be a little large but it will work fine as far as mechanical clearances. 5.3 and ls1 share the same stroke. However, it is always a good idea to check PtoV. The 243's are 64.? CC so compression will be close to an LS6 if they have not been milled. Also, balance should be checked when mixing and matching any rotating parts. I am sure Brian Tooley would be more than happy to confirm the PtoV question.

The 08+ 5.3's have flat top pistons and 243 heads and there compression is 10:1 so you are probably correct on the compression. That is a pretty big cam for a 5.3.

I'm currently running the same cam in my 5.3 that's in a jet boat.

Runs well and sounds great. Tons of mid range.

It definitely has some long legs. Really wants to turn some rpm. I spin it 6400 on the bottle

I'm actually in the middle of building a new short block with flat tops.

I am not sure if it will clear but will let you know when I figure it out
