Default Question about a 4.8 with a 5.3 crank

Ok I have a carbed 4.8 with a gm hot cam it runs great but I'm always saying I want more power. the motor is in a 74 mgb weighs about 2300 with me in it, anyways I read a article about putting a 5.3 crank with the 5.3 conn rods and my 4.8 pistons and i'll have a high compression 5.3. ok besides a little more hp what else will I gain. I mean will I get more torque down low just want to know the benefits. Thanks guys

You should see an increase in power at every RPM through the curve. Adding both displacement and compression will give you more torque down low and more power throughout the RPMs.
