Default Lifter Trays Upside Down

So I am assembling the top wnd of my ls6, and got to the point of installing the lifter trays. I poked around on here to find which way they go in. In a couple of threads I came across, it said that the trays would only fit 1 way even in a ls1/6. I decided to see, and sure enough, they will fit in perfectly either way.

So, looking at this, does anybody know if it would cause any issues with the trays themselves being upside down?

1st I have no idea if there would be a problem running them oriented that way but why would you want to? If you look at this picture you can see why they were oriented the way they were.

Oh I agree. Just curious if it would make a difference or not.

The notch should face the piston, left one OK right side upside down

those look like ls2 trays, which are notched for the newer blocks, the ls1 blocks dont need them, but yes the notched side should face the pistons

It makes no difference which way they go. I have done both.

Yes, they are, and they do go with notch down. I ran across posts on here saying that they would only fit 1 way, even on the ls1/6 blocks, so I decided to test that myself.
