Cold Start Tick
Upon cold start I have a tick, but its only noticeable after the car is running for a minute and when the RPM drop from 1000 to 750. Then it is noticeable from around 2000 - 3500 RPMs when accelerating. Not piston slap or anything that moves the car around or is too loud. Just an RPM-Dependent tick of sorts. Over revved once when shifting from 2nd-3rd and missed 3rd (way back when I first bought the car and thought I was hot-sh*t). Other than that, never anything higher than about 5900 RPMs, and that was strictly racing. Usually power shift under 5000 if I feel like getting on it.
I use Mobil One Synthetic 10W30 and Mobil 1 Truck filters (longer, more capacity). Never use Fram, never will. lol
Check oil every week at least. Maybe have to add 1 quart between changes (3000 miles or 2-4 months depending on driving). Fairly normal from what ive read and experienced. Cars tend to burn oil eventually, especially after sitting and this babe sat for over 6 years.

Just telling you my experience, my sound eventually went away after the car was warm. All earlier LS's seem to burn oil. A lot of guys had a ton of warranty issues with this back in the day and GM said it was normal.
Yeah. It does go away pretty well when warm, just a little more prevalent at times than others. And yeah, burning oil is normal. lol
Thanks for your input Monmouth, I wasnt bashing you or trying to argue.
