Question building LS DZ302

looking to pick up either a ls1 or 2 6.0 truck motor here in the near future and i am wanting to build more of a fun street toy. I am wanting to build more of a new school DZ302 on the 6.0 platform with 4.8 crank, mild cam, flat tops pistons (trying to keep 10.1 compression so can be drove on the street or even daily if wanted/needed), upgrade the intake while keeping the truck intake, upgrade injectors, pushrods and get a new wiring harness and ECM with tunes and more.

Anything will help at this point just trying to get everything worked out on paper and then start the actual build knowing about how much i am going to be spending. Thank You

Currently the engine will be going in my 2005 Silverado 1500 short bed 4x4.

Truck currently has-
4.8 all stock with bullydog gt500 tuner
Build 4l60E, upgraded to all bulliet 4l80E internals shift kit and more
Build Dana 44 fresh gears bearing ect, currently open going to posi track
new exhaust high flow cats to 3"
moto metal 970 18x10 32x11.50
3 inch lift suspension

What you're building is basically a 5.3 with a different bore and stroke. Honestly for a High revving light car that would be a fun combo. But for a truck? Just leave the 6.0 a 6.0

I agree , I think you would be disappointed in that motor in a truck . If you already spent money on the 6.0 and have it ,this is what I would go with for your truck . With the 6.0 the fun factor just went up .

Dont give up on the 302 . Just find a car that would be suitable . These motors was know for high rpm power . This is not what your heavy truck needs .

honestly now that i have looked at some other builds i still want to build the 302 as my father did for some of his older show car. Now i am wanting to get into the boost world with the current engine that my truck already has and yes i understand that trucks are not the "performance" powerhouse of the track or street but this is my baby i have had it for 6 years now and wanting to make some power now over just the bone stock 4.8. Do you all know what the stock ECM can handle as parameters for air/fuel and timing sense i am going to go through and freshen up my old motor and getting it ready for a mild turbo build with no more than 10-15 PSI of boost?
