Default gen 4 ls1

Has anyone put stock ls1 Pistons onto gen4 rods? I bent the rods in my ls1 and want to put the better rods in while it's apart. I haven't had any luck finding any transition parts (press fit gen 4 rods, or 3.898 floating pistons) so I want to see if anyone has modified stock Pistons and if so how much it cost

You could probably press the bushings out of the Gen IV rods and use a larger OD pin so that you have the press fit. The pistons would need to be honed for clearance though. Probably a couple hundred bucks.

I've seen gen 4 rods in an LS1 locally. He said he got them from a GTO.

We have both gen 4 rods and 3.898 floating pin pistons for the gen4 rods Pretty good price too! They are a complete flat top, so make sur your cam fits if it needs valve reliefs. These are coated Hyper E pistons. Wed prefer to sell them with rings, but can sell without also.

Email me and we can get you set up with price and parts if you need em!
