Another new ls1 rebuild question Hey guys new to building motors. Just pulled an ls1 out of a 1998 Camaro.
Plan on dropping it into my 1983 el camino. But before I do that I want to do a quick refresh to the motor. I was thinking about having the heads checked and new seals. Anything else you guys suggest while the motor is out?

Cam, lifters & lifter trays, pushrods, timing set, valve job, oil pump, etc.
Pick any or all, all are easy to DIY, and assuming the short block is good, should freshen things up pretty well. I'm sure I might have missed something, but there are plenty of knowledgeable guys here to add to/correct what is here lol.
