Slp Cam Question
I have a 2000 silverado 5.3 auto with the stock torque converter. It has the lm7 5.3 with 39000 miles on it. I have a Borla exhaust, asp pulleys, kn fpik, a superchips tune, but it will be replaced by a Nelsons, and free mods.
I am looking for a new cam after I get the tune for my truck. I want to make a good low and mid and a tad power in high rpms. I found SLP cam kit, and the specs are
Camshaft Specs: Valve Lift Duration Duration@.050
in: .559" 267º 214º
ex: .566" 275º 222º
with a 115 degree lobe seperation is this a good cam to make a the power I am looking for? If not do you guys have any suggestions? Is this too much of a cam. I want to make a good amount of torque off the line to get my truck up and moving. The other cam I am looking at is the LPE gt2 cam 204/216? Is that a better choice?
