Default Bearings going already?

Hey guys long story short I noticed some oil pressure drop and drained the oil to see if anything looked out of the ordinary. This motor was fully built by local machine shop and has under 500 miles total. It is an lq4 set up for boost. All parts inside motor are brand new. Here is what the bottom of oil pan looked like after draining oil..

There were also tiny copper shavings in oil filter. I had good oil pressure until today. I probably lost 20-30psi at idle. Opinions on what is going on/what needs to be done? Thanks

The engine needs to be pulled and rebuilt. I would call the shop that built it and see what they'll do for you.

^^^^ Suggest you pull it, LEAVE it assembled, and deliver it to the shop....
Set up for boost... Was it actually run w/ boost?
How's it controlled? Aftermkt or oem controls?
Data logs?
Have bushed rockers?

I talked to machine shop today. They said it looks like bearing failure and they are looking over my build sheet and going to call me back. I am going to start pulling the motor.

Yea it has been on boost. Its controlled by wastegate spring. My tuner has the data logs from street tuning but I do not. It has ls6 rockers with trunnion upgrade.

Light glitter in the oil is normal after a fresh engine build. Now if there is a loss in oil pressure and there is larger flakes that you can actually grab out of the oil, that is no good. I would immediately take it back to the engine builder and have them tear into it. It would need to be fully gone through, and would need to be torn down to the bare block, thoroughly cleaned and new bearings installed. I would also have them check to make sure the cam/crank journals are not scarred/damaged.
