2000 5.3 gasket question

2000 5.3 gasket question Bought a 5.3 that was fairly clean and bearings looked ok in it for a project motor. Haven't decided what I'm going to put it in yet but was going to start putting the rotating assembly in and get gaskets ordered for it. Have no idea what year motor it is but code in front of passengers side head is k220 so I assume that means Nov 22 2000? Has 862 heads with no notch but graphite hg. Also has the 3 different size head bolts. My understanding is that if it don't have a notch I can run mls hg. Is that correct? EBay has fairly complete gasket kits for these motors but they list for 99-01 and 02-04. I want to buy the 02-04 set to get mls hg if I can run them but was wondering if there was any other differences I'm not aware of. The only thing I wondered about was valve seal differences. Any input appreciated

Hello Kev I would call whatever supplier you are buying from on ebay. If they don't have or you can't find their number find another supplier. I find it's always better to ask those in the know. But I'm sure you know that. also makes it easier for returns if they are not right, make sure you write down the persons name that helps you. good luck man.

And yes we have more complete kits than ebay and just as good on the pricing and better on tech support.

Id make double sure those 862 heads have no notch though. the good thing, with our mls head gasket it wont matter as they will fit either notched or flat heads!!
