When Piston meets Mr. Valve ?s.

I picked up a LQ4 for a good price with issues. Will this is the issue, valve spring broke, the valve stayed open long enough to get punched a couple of times before bending a tick and staying out of the way of Mr. Piston. So, my question is can I reuse this piston with worrying about the piston breaking or coming apart? I buffed the marks smooth with a buffing wheel, everything looks good to me.

FYI that's an ly6 piston not an lq4 unless it was rebuilt with ly6 pistons. I'd run it, seems very minor in the pics.

That does make sense, it has the Gen lV Rods.

Smooth any edges out and it'll be fine as long as there are no cracks.

This was from over-revving. No cracks in pistons so they were fly-cut and ran perfect. Yes, those are large indentations from the valves. All 8 cylinders.
