4.8 706 casting heads build or not?

Guys, I got the 4.8 today but it has 706 heads. Should I go further with sending these heads to Texas Speed for a stage 2 job? Or should I get another/new heads?

The reason I'm asking is because I read the 706 castings were prone to crack easily

it is going into 86 camaro with 4l60e all efi, planning on changing cam and stage 2 port job. Just some fun on streets, no boost, no spray

Gotcha. Well I have the stage 2.5 862 castings from Texas Speed, and I believe they are basically identical to the 706 casting. They do really good for the money. As far as the cracking issues on the 706, you may want to ask TSP about that, because IIRC they used to sell those along with the 862's. I'm not sure if they still do that anymore
