Ls2 rods on lq4 piston?
Hey guys quick question, I'm currently trying to get my car back together and am really trying to keep this on a tight budget hence why I'm trying to reuse parts , I have a 2000 lq4 block and was curious if I were to reuse the lq4 pistons could I use some ls2 rods with them that I picked up cheap? From what I have gathered the lq4 is a press for piston but the ls2 rods were floating?
Wont work unless you machine the pin bores for locks.
We do have a brand new set of lq4 AND lq9 pistons in stock bore for $210 shipped. rings are $70. still keeping on a small budget and both are set up for the floating pin rods.

R.A. Has really cheap LS2 style flat tops that have the locks to work on those rods of yours. DNJ brand are what's in mine.

Youll pay more than the $10 diff in shipping alone. Our price includes shipping. The rings are hastings and the pistons are either mahle or silvolite. Not sure who dnj uses, but rockauto afaik isnt a sponsor on here either.
The flat top lq9 pistons also have a hard anodized top as well. Both sets of pistons are on the shelf ready to ship along with the rings.
