Oil Leak
Oil Leak Built my motor (again) and it has sprung an oil leak towards the rear of the motor. We replaced the rear main, but still leaks. I noticed a tiny stream of fluid (new oil in it, hard to see it) coming from the side of the motor behind the head on the driver side but my buddy said he seen it on the Passenger side too. I could feel behind the motor on the block inside of the bellhousing but it was dry on the block.
Driver side oil pan bolt (long bolt) was wet but like I said, it appeared to be coming from above.
My thoughts of possible causes are;
1) Oil Pressure Sending unit
2) Cam Sensor
3) Valve Cover Gasket
4) Valley Cover Gasket
5) Head Gasket (I thought only water would come from a leaking head gasket)
6) Rear Cover to Oil Pan
7) Rear Main Seal (again)
8) Oil Pan Gasket
9) ?????????????
Or something worse? What are your thoughts? Can you give me some direction, I would liek to get this thing tuned on on the road ASAP!!

Did you use an alignment tool when installing the rear cover? Did you put RTV on the corners of the oil pan where the front and rear corners meet? Other than that I would take a look at the oil pressure sending unit and the cam sensor for sure. See if you can feel around back there.
Did not use the tool for the first rear cover install, however, before we pulled the cover off (after discovering the first oil leak) we verified the alignment with the tool. It fit inside the cover with no issues. We then put on a new seal and reinstalled.
I did use RTV in the corners of the Oil Pan at install. I thought I got enough in all 4 corners, maybe I was a bit short in the rear corners.
