Default LS-1 .vs. LS-6 design differences?

Gentlemen,
I'm new to the group here and am needing some answers to certain LS1/LS6 Qs:
1) Can someone please educate me on the "true" difference(s) between the LS-1 & LS-6 Alum. Block? I seem to see they are basically the same? IS this true?
2) What are the difference(s) with the LS-6 intake man., vice the original LS-1 intake?
3) Does anyone know what the dimensional difference(s) of the LS1 & LS6 intake man? I'm mostly concerned w/ vertical height as my application won't allow for much more height than the stock LS1 intake.
4) Can a bloke drop an LS6 intake man. onto an LS1 and will they just bolt straight on? Or are any mods req'd?
5) Are there any dimensional diff's between the two crankshafts? Or are they essentially interchangeable?

Any experts out there help me out? Could you also fwd me a copy of your response at: c a b i @ s b c g l o b a l . n e t

Thanks in advance, Bros!

Cabi~
ps...what about bolt-on comaptibility of the LS6 heads to an LS1 block? Seems like if the blocks are the same, this is really a moot point?

Late model C5's, and 2001.5 up Fbodies, and Z06's share the same "LS6" block. It's good for ~5hp due to better airflow between cylinders. Complete compatibility with LS1 blocks.

You want the LS6 manifold. 2002? Fbodies, and 2002?-up Y-bodies have this manifold designed for the Z06 engine. Complete compatibility EXCEPT EGR provisions on Y-body. Can be fixed.

Same PN for cranks that I'm aware of.
