Default Cam only options?

Recently picked up a 6 speed 1999 z28. I want to get a bit more power. What cam only options are there?

Car is pretty stock at the moment. Just an SLP lid and loudmouth. But the plan would be long tube headers, new intake manifold/TB, 4.10 gears and a cam.

Q1. Is it actually worth just doing a cam? I’ll be keeping the stock heads.
Q2. I want something with a nice loping idle and to make better use of the revs but with the stock bottom end. If it is worth it. What options are there?

Intended use is street and maybe some fun circuit days.

Cam is for sure worth the investment. There are a ton of options regarding what cam you can run but Ive always found it best to get a cam custom ground to your personal needs.

All kind of options. All depends on what you want to use the car for and if your willing to lose some drivability

You want something on the more mild or more wild side?

Agreed, single pattern 224's are excellent daily driver type cams with 4.10's and a good tune.

Tick Performance's Saturday Night Special aka SNS2 ~227/235 cam is also worth a look.

So many threads on here for "cam only" choices and dyno numbers. Do a search and you'll have enough info for days of reading

Titan III from Cam Motion is a great little street cam that drives near stock and would love that 4.10/M6 combo
