Default Head question LS1 or LS6...

I want to get more out of my car like lets say 425 at the wheels. Can my existing 99 LS1 heads suffice with work? Is buying the LS6 casting heads a waste of maney for my target HP?

you can make it with a LS1 head or the 4.8/5.3 head. Ls6 heads are not worth much over a good LS1 done properly.

425 can be done with 5.3, 5.7, or 6.0 castings, without forking over the $$$ for true ls6 heads.

Just check any of the sponsers, they all have competitivly priced Heads/cam packages that are making more than 425rwhp, if you have an M6 car and all the bolt ons its not unheard of to make like 440ish or more....
