Oil Pressure fell to 0! Help

I started my inernally stock 99 Camaro today and the check gauges light came on. I knew I had gas and OH SH&Y! No oil pressure! I started it again and gave it a little gas and the valvetrain started ticking. I immediately shut the car off. Could I just replace oil pump? What else could it be?

Bet the relief valve stuck in the pump. For some reason, some of the older pumps have relief valve problems. Just replace the pump with a new stocker and you'll be good to go.

Stock LS6 pump will work just fine. You can go for a ported pump but a stocker will do fine.

You're gonna have to "slip in" new valve springs while you're in there as well.

Just making sure you know.
