Default whats wrong with rpm?

if you have the right valvetrain what is bad about spinning the motor to arround 7,000rpm? is it just the additional power or something else? also, i like the sound of a lopey cam but i have an A4. what kind of problems do people get with that combination? i am probably going to do a heads/cam job in the future and since cams are so much cheaper i figured i would do a cam first and then heads when i got the money.
btw: this car is my daily driver and i want it to look/sound great as well as run with some of the big boys. for you guys who say no to hotcam, what would you reccomend? I still need to pass the sniffer.

To give you my 2 cents.....
Alot of people are running a 112LSA
I personally just ordered a 222/224 566/568 112LSA for my A4 car.
I did do alot of research on this matter and came up with this.
this will give more of a lobeiersound than a 114LSA
Spinning the motor to 7000RPM...why?
You will be losing power that high in the RPM's
With my set-up Heads done-up 918 springs titanium retainers stock rods,,i should be able to push it to 6700RPM's but shift point down around 6500
That will be determined when i get it on the dyno
I'm sure everyone will not agree but this is what i have learned and came up with...
Good luck

A good valvetrain can take 7000 rpm,But the connecting rod bolts won't last long As said before there is no reason to spin that high if your Cam can't support it.

read somewhere from a porsche manual that every 1000rpm of engine rpm, wear increases ten times. rpm wears out parts faster than almost anything. the valvetrain might be ok but what about the stock rod bolts?

oops i didnt mean just the valvetrain but rather just a well setup ls1 to spin that fast(including cam, connecting bolts ect.
but i like hondakillers explanation cuz i was thinking that since everything is moving more it just like putting more miles on your engine in less time

Another reson for not wanting to spin to 7000 is
Oil-you have to watch your oil preasure and in some cases get a better oil pump
Bearings-You want thoes to last as long as they can and not have them fail on you
Piston rings-The more rpm the more wear on em
Stock rods-You feelin lucky.
All the stock internal parts have things on them that would limit spinning that high, but if your forged out, thats a different story
