LS1 overheating
LS1 overheating Having issues with my car overheating... At first i thought it was just a low coolant issue, or maybe it started as one... I've never seen the gauge actually hit 260 and have been watching it since with my scanner but...
I've tried to burp the system many times. If I burp the system and I baby the car, no issues. But if I build some boost and make some hard pulls it pushes coolant into the overflow bottle consistently. I pressure tested the cooling system, 15 psi held pretty much solid for 15 minutes after I fixed a tiny leak coming from the steam tube hose. New radiator cap, no oil in the coolant or vice versa. Doesn't seem to be consuming much if any coolant its just going into the overflow bottle. Plus once it cools down it doesn't seem to want to pull any coolant back from he bottle.
Anything else I should try? Guessing I'm pushing compression into the cooling system.
