Default Gasket???????

So I am doing my heads/cam and intake when I get back from Iraq. And one of the sponsors on the board sells a complete gasket kit with head bolts too. Question is, if I bought these gaskets at Kragen, would they be just as good as if I bought them from Thunder Racing? I am worried about the quality of these gaskets, seeing as how I am going to a stage II head with 11:1 compression, and will also be running a little bit of the N20 as well. Should I just go ahead and spend the $300.00 on this stuff or should I take my chances with the ones from Kragen? The ones from Thunder Racing are GM gaskets, but I just cant see spending $300 for those things......any feedback on this??? Thanks

Rob

I think I paid $35 for the head gaskets from PACE and ~$50 for the ThunderRacing cam gasket kit. I used studs, so they were more money, but the gm bolts aren't that pricey. I'm biased when it comes to GM gaskets. I've always had more success with them. If the valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets are in good shape, you can reuse them. Are you getting a new intake? Check to see if it comes with gaskets.

Thanks for your help, I am also going to check on summit to see what they have as well. But since I am bumping up my compression, do you think that I will need more of a heavy duty gasket???? Meaning more that just a stock replacment?????

11.1:1 isn't out of range for the stock head gasket, it's pretty strong.
How big a nitrous setup are you doing?

Budget, well considering that I am collecting tax free paychecks right now, and danger pay, its not a problem.....

I plan on going up to a 150 shot of N20.......
