Cam differences w/ or w/o additional head upgrade
there is a question long time in my brain, but never get succesfully answered in the meanwhile:
Is there any difference in cam specs if i go with ported heads or not?
I mean the off the shelf cams, they are spected to run with additional tuning like ported heads, more cr and whatever or still made to suit oem heads?
I can transmit more air with ported intake runners, bigger valves etc., will a off the shelf can use all the provided potential or is ever a special spected cam the best way to go with the most gain?

As a general statement you can get away with a cam that closes the intake valve sooner, and opens the exhaust valve later when you have a more efficient cylinder head. Essentially, a similar peak power RPM with a narrower LSA, which should help to aid in making more torque along with the more efficient heads.
