Default 5.3 Crack in Block

Hi everyone - new here, new to LS's. 5.3 going into a 66 pickup and I was tearing it down before doing so and found this crack between the water jackets. Looks like I am just going to pickup a new 5.3 or find a 6.0 locally I can use. Question: is this now scrap? I was thinking of selling it complete with 862 heads etc for like 350...
appreciate the input.
PS - goals weren't to put a bunch of money in motor work since a bunch is going into the frame.

You would likely get more from the heads if not associated with a big heavy chunk of garbage that the buyer would have to deal with somehow.

Couldn't say whether $350 is the right price for a set of heads but it's not out of the question.

Yes. It’s cracked into the jacket, so deck is unstable. Headgasket will not seal this and it will always likely push water. Cast iron is a COMPLETE GARBAGE material and is extremely hard to weld and actually make it work. I had a high end bowtie Automotive Specialist, Dorton (Hendrick Motorsports) splayed cap block that developed a crack once that I threw away, and I’m a pretty accomplished welder. Cast iron is The devil, Bobby!
