A stock cam?
Honestly I'd be looking for something a little milder than either of those grinds. For an autocrosser the tires, brakes, and suspension need to be sorted and optimized first. Especially if you're trying to race a wobbly leaf sprung 2nd gen.
Once you've got some real seat time and have pushed the car to its (and yours) limits, should you worry about raising and extending the power band to improve your times. Even then, you will likely find that you are slower around the cones with a big o'l ratty cam in there.

Of course i am partial to ours, but the dyno graph is pretty hard to point out why its a bad autox or road race cam. Loads of mid range and top end and verified fitment with 243 heads milled .030 also. Plus a deliberately built lobe to be stable in the upper rpm range and use an affordable and high quality spring like the pac1219x (recommended for extended rpm duty like roadcourse or autox).

Are you trying to be competitive or just have fun? Either way keep it mild, even if you're just having fun it will be a smoke show if you don't have suspension setup. I run a stock ls6 engine with bolt ons, 6 speed, 3.73 rear with full suspension and it's fun but not competitive in SM. Just when the power is coming in it's time to slam the brakes again even on a larger course.
Even on a road course mine is just right for now. In the future I might go mid level heads and cam but I don't see a need for all out unless you're actually going wheel to wheel.

I don't understand why everyone thinks you need such a mild cam any time turns are involved. Lots of bigger cams have broad torque curves. You shouldn't be concerned with power at 2500 rpm, if you're turning 2500 rpm on the racetrack, then you need to learn how to manage your gears. There's lots of cams that make lots of torque at 3k all the way up to 6.5k and beyond.
The WS6store ASA cam is a great choice, it makes good power and the gentle lobes would be great for valvetrain reliability, especially if you ever do 20 minute track sessions at an HPDE.
