Some ported 243's will add more power than any intake

The Dorman intake is a pretty good intake, I'd pick it up over the Fast for the price difference. The Dorman LS2 I run on the dyno beat out the GM LS6.

I would lean towards purchasing the best heads your budget will allow. Sure, buying heads/cam together is more convenient..i.e., one tune, easier to install at the same time. You have a good amount of options. You could go with stock 243's which might add 15-20 hp and add a used fast 92 or 102. You could also have your 243's ported/polished. Advanced Induction and TEA offer fantastic porting programs. One other option that I think gets looked over is...keeping your 241's and have them worked over by Advanced Induction. They offer a 219cc High Compression CNC program that really makes good power while utilizing your exsisting zero cost heads. Lastly, if money permits and you want to go aftermarket..Trickflow/BTR, Mast, and AFR, Mamo Sportsman are awesome but pricey. Im not a salesman lol, and since we all have opinions...My current heads are AI 226cc 243's and I'm super happy with them. I think it's one of the best option outside of aftermarket. Sorry for the long post, I just think it helps to know your options and make decisions for the big picture. Good luck.

I missed it before, but you mention wanting about 450 hp at the crank. That's like 380-400 at the wheel. With that said you really don't need to do anything since you're probably already there lol

I missed it too. Ok so scratch my novel I wrote lol. Yeah with that cam, headers/exhaust he should be close 400 at the rear already. Which begs the question, since your already there...why stop there?

If you have the money to buy a good intake like a FAST, forget it and then spend a few hundred more and send your 241's to AI. They have an excellent CnC program that will make the 241's flow almost as well as a set of ported 243's and will make plenty of power.
