Default 243 heads,gaskets,p/v clearance

Ok here is my problem seeing if any one can help

zo6 heads (243 casting) untouched
231/237 tsp cam
stock rocker 1.7

i need a new head gasket was wondering if i can gain any more compression by using a thinner head gasket. While still being with in safe margen for P/V clearance.

if not would you sugest staying with the stock GM gaskets.

That is pretty expensive answer. You would have to buy three different types af head gaskets that i know and then clay each one that is close to a $400 test in head gaskets . Just seeing if any one has gone through this for some tech help .

thanks
