Valve guide for .313 diameter exhaust valve
Anyone know where I can get a valve guide for an exhaust valve with a .313 diameter stem? I was changing valve springs and seals on my PRC 2.5 and one of the valves would not come out. I had to hammer it out (looking back I probably should have just cut the head off which is where the problem was but I didnt know that at the time. Hindsight is 20/20) and when the valve traveled through the guide I guess it opened it up ever so slightly. I ordered a new valve and hoped what I knew was going to happen wouldnt and sure enough there is play in the guide. I know nothing about the subject but after reading it seems the guide has to be reamed to the correct diameter? The guides in there now arent bronze, not sure what they are but they are just steel colored. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
I only need two of them do you sell them individually?
so the only steel valve guides I could find have an 11/32” inside diameter which is .343 the valve is .313....seems excessive clearance to me? Any input?

Your valve stem dia isn't measured in .001"s, really. They're metric. 8mm to be exact. No idea why people give that in .001"s; seems like the long way around.
.343" is actually 11/32"... .34375" is the actual equivalent. That was the old small block Chevy size.
In both cases, the guides need to be reamed after installation, to fit the valve stems.
