valve lifter trays

what is the tolerance or clearance of the valve lifter trays in my ls1? I want to install a cam with .650 lift to my ls1 can it tolerates with out modifications?

Are you concerned with the cam lobe hitting the tray? It will never do that since the lifter projects out of the tray well over an inch.

.650 is too much for stock rockers. I've read no more than .630 for stock rockers.

I've heard .600 is pushing it for stock rockers, as the tip, or nose of the rocker digs into the valve tip

OP was asking about the lifter trays, not the rockers. However, haven't seen him come back into the thread either and this was his only post to LS1Tech and the last time he visited according to his statistics.
