Its been done many many times. Start a thread and ask....you'll find a bunch. The smart ones do that....

Most people that do that that I know.....had to buy new heads anyway....so why not make the smart choice and spend a little more and get the 6 bolt heads now. Rather than buying two sets of heads.

Its a no brainer...........only an idiot would choose to spend money on two sets of heads. BUT....I will agree....there's a LOT of idiots out there........

I can see how my comment came across the way you took it but that's not what I meant.

I meant I don't think you'll find people that want a 4 bolt head and don't plan to grow into a 6 bolt, go ahead and buy the 6 bolt anyway when there was a 4 bolt available. As I mentioned there are heads out there that are 6 bolt only and budget. Like the TSP as cast. I'm sure there are a lot of people buying them because they fit the budget but just happen to be 6 bolt so they get them. A lot of these people likely having a 4 bolt block and not even considering going to a 6.

If you re read my comments you'll see how I supported buying 6 bolt heads now with the intent to grow into them later. Or buying them because they fit the budget etc and only having a 4 bolt block.

Exactly......

I have an LQ9 iron block now....I also have brand new Brodix (6 bolt) heads going on it soon...to be boosted. I plan to push it to 20-21psi.........then if I have issues at that psi I'll just build an LSX iron block with 6 bolts. Since I needed to upgrade my heads for this SC'er set up anyway, I just spent $400 more to get the Brodix 6-bolt heads.
