When to go to 1/2 head studs or 6 bolt heads and block. Also when do you need to go with main studs

Let me ask this first; what power level are you shooting for? Then you will get an answer on which or any of the above are necessary.

Default 1000+ HP = Main Studs

Hi LT1, I would state that if you want to exceed 1000WHP, you should fit Steel Main Caps with ARP studs.

I would also fit ARP Titanium Head Studs at that power level.(6AL-4V=180,000 psi T)

The LSX Six Bolt Iron @ 4000HP.
