That's an interesting article. I knew most of that however, I didn't know that the 3.9" kept from having to use Oil support rails.
I've always wanted to use a 3.9 and even more preferably, a 3.8" stroke crankshaft. However, I don't know if they exist and I certainly don't want to pay for a custom piece lol.

I'd love a 4" bore 3.8" stroke engine for my Twin Turbo car.

K1 has a 4340 forged 3.9" crank for around $850, so they're right alongside a Callies Compstar crank as far as price range goes.
