LQ9/243 PTV clearance ?? Hey guys,
I’ve got an LQ9 engine I’m putting together. I purchased 243 heads I was going to bold on. Something must have hit the face of the head when I was transporting them and now I need to get them decked. I’m running a 600/600 TSP stage 2 truck cam. Wondering if I’ll have to worry about PTV clearance once the heads have been surfaced ?

The cam in question is 212/218 duration. Which LSA did you choose? That is what you worry about for PTV, not lift. Full lift isn't seen until the piston is well down the cylinder.
