Ptv clearance?

Ptv clearance? I’m building a new engine, I got ls3 rods/pistons/heads on an iron block.
i measured the ptv by disassembling some old lifters and flipping the check valve. I got some checker springs and set a dial guage on top of the retainer. I spun the crank and measured the lowest clearance.
woth some old oem push rods, oem .051 hg, and the Texas speed stage 3 cam

i got .055 Intake .050 exhaust.
I also got the adjustable push rod and I get 0 lash at 7.4. I would like .075” preload on the lifters so should i order 7.475”? Will that affect the ptv? Why is the clearance so tight? Did I measure it correctly?
