BST 1200 3D Printer Hi ALL, I own a 3D printer used to create a Check/Fit part.
My 3D printer is a BST 1200 with a cost of $32,000 as bought new.
The rocker arm picture shows a ""could be" rapid prototype item, good for testing BEFORE a forging die is created.
The pictured item could be Delrin material with CNC machine marks as shown.
I agree, a Manton product will be top quality with good engineering.

In the FB comments, the Manton Rep made some interesting comments about the design criteria of these rockers. They expect it to be the heaviest rocker arm on the market, however most of that weight addition will be on the pushrod side where it won’t be all that detrimental to valve train stability. They expect it to handle 12k RPM, but I don‘t know if they mean the rocker body itself, or the whole system to include that little 8mm bolt.
With the package required to go 12k rpm, meaning cam and springs, that little bolt won’t stand a chance. Gonna have to have a shaft setup, with multiple mounting bolts, to go anywhere close to 12k. A single bolt setup would likely either pull the threads, break the bolt, or pull the entire roof of the port off. Valve spring would be an absolute beast.
Having said all of that, the cad drawing of this piece looks promising, with a lot of nose weight being removed. The profiling is beautiful. GM did such a great job with the Oem rocker design, that it’s been tough for the aftermarket to build a better piece out of steel, with a nose roller. The roller simply puts too much weight out where you don’t want it. Hopefully Manton has hit a homer with this new unit.
