LS2 cam gear trigger ?

LS2 cam gear trigger ? I bought the motor with swap for the LS2 cam sensor , the previous owner ran the motor on the 6LS msd box I see it run with no issues , and I am running a factory ecm with hptuners , so my question is. with the 24 tooth crank trigger, would the engine still run if I have the wrong gear on the cam , and if it still runs what would the issues be?

It may, may not, not 100% positive what the computer does when it sees a whack cam signal. If the signal is erratic they run bad, but feeding it 4x when it's looking for 1x, probably will backfire etc. I know that on some systems it will disregard the bad data and use other sensors to fill in the info but it will always be running in a reduced state, aka less power.
You'd be better off leaving it unplugged than feeding the PCM a 4x signal when it's looking for a 1x
