Default 2005 LQ4 to LQ9 Conversation Sanity Check

So I have a 2005 LQ4 out of a Denali that I am using for an engine swap. It has 185k miles on it so I wanted to freshen it up first. It is a 2005 so it already has the same floating wrist pins and con rods that the LQ9 came with. At this point is the only difference the flat top pistons?

Can I just throw some LQ9 pistons and it will be an LQ9?

Will the tune for the LQ4 work for the LQ9?

Call WS6store. They'll line you out on whatever you need, including all the seals and gaskets required at a good price. Plus good advice on whatever you're doing. They're vendor/sponsors here.

I’m not sure if they’re the same but might want to check the piston weights too. A slight rebalance may be needed.

I think I saw earlier in another thread that there is no appreciable difference between the two. Should be good.

Quoted from WS6store

"The lq9 flat top conversion is $425
Pistons with pins
Rings
Oil pan gasket
Crank bolt
Head gaskets
Head bolts
Exhaust manifold gaskets
Valve cover gaskets

Can include front and rear cover kits and bearings etc if you want also for extra.
Basically a bare bones drop in kit that you can add whatever extra you want."

He also had listed the complete rebuild kit for $699 If you need everything
