Default Tiny marks on pistons lands

Hi,

I bought a set of stock used flat top pistons for my 5.3 LM7 and some of them have very small marks on the lands.
When installing new rings, I feel a slight resistance caused by these marks.
it's barely visible to the visible to the naked eye, but I want be sure It won't cause any problems in the futur.

Thanks for your help!

You’ll need to remove the indentions that protrude into the ring lands with a small file. It’s very important that the rings are able to spin freely until they seat, as well as move freely vertically for sealing purposes.
These were probably allowed to bounce around against each other during shipment, or maybe even in a parts washer.
Use something, and remove all of the carbon build up in the ringlands as well. Are you installing new rings?

Thanks, that's what I started doing, but I wasn't sure if it was ok...
And yes, I'm installing new rings.
