Default 5.3 build help info twin turbo

Hi guys I have a custom grind cam from Comp Cams with their hardest rods and the rocker arm rebuild 862 heads tube chassis 71 Camaro twin a1000 1/2 fuel line 1200cc injectors Ford 9-inch with 3.80s 3700 stall TCI. And 4l80e I know this topic seems to be beaten to death but I just can't seem to figure out what I should do. So i got to about 700hp and blew a ring in my 5.3 iron block. I'm sure the engine need a bore now and I dont know if it's worth it and put over sized ring in and go again or try to spend 1200 on a 6.0 block. I wanted to hit 1000hp but now I'm wondering If that's even enough. I raced at the no prep kings small tire and got my *** handed to me. What's a good budget build that I can keep the parts I got and build 1200-1500 hp to keep up? Should I forged my 5.3 and bore it to clean up the walls. Or should I be looking for the 6.0 block or is there something better I can find these days what's you opinion? Denver co

Theres a big differance in 700 and 1500hp. Will the rest of your car handle it? 4l80e is great and all but switching to a powerglide and lower (numerically) rear gear would be quicker once you get over that 1000hp mark.
but to answer your question, fully forged 5.3 will cost just as much as a fully forged stroked 6.0 other than finding a block witch is cheap.

Edit: Got any pics of the car? im in the process of doing my 72 trans am
