Default milkshake in radiator, bad headgasket or other.

hey guys when i was driving my car and when i parked my car i heard gurgling sound coming from my radiator cap. keep in mind i have a brand new water pump and thermostat installed roughly 300 miles ago (car is mostly stored in my garage)., after i let my car cooled i open my rad cap and saw milky white in my coolant. i then check the dipstick and its pure oil. My car wasn't overheating at the time but it did get around 210 deg and my car never seen temps above 205. i have 2 water temp gauge, factory and an autometer on my a-piller gauge pod. My car has 160k miles on it but i've changed out my headgasket around 80k miles on with arp head studs when i did my cam swap. Talked to one of my buddies and he believes the the power steering cooler took a dump. i looked at my power steering reservior and its bone dry. Im about to change out all my cooling system, radiator, waterpump, themostat, and flush the hell out of my system.

I agree with the P/S cooler puking into the cooling system. Flush everything, bypass the P/S cooler AND cap off the in/out fittings(cooler NOT really needed..) fresh coolant, and BOOM you're done. Water pump should be OK, Thermostat, maybe.

Yeah, mine did the same thing too. I'd bet a Dr. Pepper it's the old power steering cooler dumping into the coolant routine. I replaced the power steering cooler with an air/air cooler. All the radiator and heater hoses were replaced too.

I think you're on the right track.

I agree with the others, however if you want to truly diagnose and be sure, I'd get one of those kits that test for exhaust in the coolant. That'll definitively tell you if its the PS cooler or not (though you should replace it anyway, before it becomes a problem)
