Howdy,

Need more power in my AWD beast, so looking at the LSX block and doing a 408 that can take big shots of nitrous. If I use the LSX block, can anyone tell ? I need it to look stock in my 2004 Escalade AWD.

Thoughts?

Its hard to see what block is under the hood of these vehicles. Paint it black and I doubt anyone will ever know.

The extra head bolt bosses in the LSX block will give it away.

Black paint should hide the truth, and I am going to try the camo method. A forged crank, rods and pistons will not care about black paint on a fresh LSX block. 4L80 or a 4L90 should work, and then we can find the weak link in the BW 44-81 transfer case and AWD.

Thanks,
