Is this normal ?
If you know it needs a tune, it would be in your best interest to take care of it ASAP with a new engine build. Running it rich not only robs performance but excessive fuel in the cylinders could prevent the rings and cylinder walls from wearing in correctly, which could lead to bigger problems down the road. Once the tune is right, you can turn your focus to any other causes of smoke if the problem is still there.
If it isn't tuned it should be lean, unless the previous tune was for a larger motor than what you have now. Or it could be previously a stock tune and now having a big cam it's fueling too much at idle.
Could be a stuck injector... maybe
I see what looks like a lot of little specs. That's usually metal.
Do a compression check also.
Change the oil too. Running really rich gets fuel in the oil and washes it out and washes the rings. Will ruin your new motor fast.

Don't know if it's metal for sure or not but it may be. If so it's probably rings and cylinder liner material.
And if it's running super rich it will be destroying the rings because it washes the oil off the rings and they go metal to metal on the cylinder walls.
