Gasket and head bolt set Good afternoon all,
I'm rebuilding my 03 5.3 from a Yukon to go into a Dodge Magnum.
I'm on a budget, I'm looking at the gasket sets with head bolts. I thought that all GMC and Chevy 4.8 and 5.3 of the same year all had compatible components and the gaskets and bolts are the same. Am I mistaken?

The '03 and earlier had 3 different bolt lengths vs. the 04+ so be a bit careful there. We have a head change kit with 5.3 head gaskets, exhaust gaskets and the correct early head bolts. P/N CMB-08-0060. Let us know if there's anything else you need!
Start by seeing if you have all equal length bolts or not.
They are the same essentially like Scott said, but they all had differences over the years vs other years like summit said.
