I'm doing a cam and spring swap on a stock 2003ish 5.3, when I removed the intake pushrods I noticed most had a large ,about 1/2 long vertically and deep half spiral gouge in it about where the head gasket would be, looked in the pushrod hole but looks fine, pushrods do not seem to be bent?

 

You might want to pull the heads to see what's going on.
