Default Timing chain damper



i am building a 2005 lq4 and wanna install a chain damper. I only have one hole drilled and tapped on my block is it better to tap 2nd hole or just run the bracket. Also what chain setup will be best a single or double. Going to go with flat tops ls3 tip end and cam NA buildni. A 99 Tahoe 2dr

Easy peasy to drill and tap that hole while you have it apart. I haven’t seen one yet with just one hole drilled. They are usually both or nothing. Buy the dog bone style (1 piece plastic) damper and use it for the template.

Ya tell me about it who the hell only drills 1 hole. What size and pitch are the bolts. I assume that the crank sprocket and the cam sprocket have to be installed before lining up the damper to assure that it’s In The correct spot.

First, get a damper AND the bolts that attach it. Guess what? You now have the size and pitch of the bolt.
Then get an LS2 chain and call it good.
