Default Unknown valve springs?

I purchased a set of 241 heads that have pac springs and titanium keepers but the guy didn't know what max lift of springs are. Is there any way for me to measure them myself to tell. I'm changing cam in my lq9 and don't want to replace valve springs if these will work and even if I do I would like to know what specs are for resale purposes anyway?

Valve spring checker; only way to know what you have.

It would help if you had a valve spring checker like this one. But, you can get a good idea of max lift with a bench vice and digital caliper.

generally, most street valve have an installed height of 1.800", so start there.

Then compress the spring until the coils almost touch, measure the springs again, and subtract 0.050"

That will give you max valve lift.
