Default The dreaded oil pick up o ring

I know it's been asked a thousand times, but I couldn't find the exact scenario I am in amd now I am paranoid. I just finished my heads and cam install on my ls1. Car already had a melling high pressure pump installed before I started the swap. Car is making 40 psi hot idle and builds to 60 max. I've only taken it up to about 3k rpm. It builds to 60 quick as in 1200 rpm and doesnt climb higher. I remember it idling close to 60 and not climbing much higher before cam swap. I took a pic of the dip stick oil and it has some bubbles on it. When the oil got hot there were more bubbles on it than in this pic. Car is at a shop now for tune. What do you think? Pay them to replace it for reassurance. Any idea how many hours of labor this typically would take to replace?

40 at idle and 60 revved is normal.

Oddly, you said you originally had 60 at idle and didn't climb much, that is not normal.

It actually sounds like your current pressures are more inline with where they should be.

Also usually with a pinched o ring, you'll not only have low pressure but you'll usually get a lot of valve train noise from the lifters bleeding down and filling with air.
