NSR Cam Question I’m gonna help a buddy this weekend install a summit 209/217 .500 lift NSR cam on a 2004 5.3. Not pulling the heads so my question is are the pushrods still required to be removed or can you rotate the cam enough to get the two wooden dowels in to keep the lifters from falling in or will the pushrods not have enough room with the rockers still bolted down? First cam swap without changing springs so I’ve never had to worry with this question before.

you can do the dowel trick i did it, i went to home depot and picked up a long *** dowel and just kept rotating until the dowel was at the end and swapped cams. just make sure u dont break the dowel
