Default PAC1519 springs for summit stage 1 “ghost” cam

Have the chance to buy some 1519s cheap, would these work with the stage 1 “ghost” cam from summit? It’s 222/233 and .600/575” lift and still be able to use factory retainers??

spring specs are 150lb at 1.800” and 363 at 1.175” with 1.070 coil bind

It's pretty much saying it's "great" with as little as 150# of seat pressure, so you should be good in that dept. Not sure on the retainers though. I do like to shim my springs to within .050 coil bind. Some like .060 instead.
Formula is easy though.
Your cams lift + your desired clearance from coil bind, + the springs coil bind = install height.

Intake: .600 + .050 = .650 + the springs coil bind (1.070) = 1.72 install height (a .015 shim and a .060 shim to get you to 1.725)

Exhaust: .575 + .050 = .625 + 1.070 = 1.695 (probably shoot for 1.7 here... a .060 and a .030 shim gets you to 1.71)

That's the install heights I'd be going with, but be sure to measure your actual height between seat and retainer first. That's going to change your "shims needed." If it's 1.8, great. The above figures are correct. If not, adjust accordingly.

And then again some people don't bother to shim for CB. It's all up you.

whats the reason you shim them to within .050 of coil bind?

Car is a street car that goes to the track maybe 10 times a year and has a 6750 rev limiter so it’s a pretty mild setup

Because my cam grinder lives and dies by that rule, so I follow suit. Valve loft/float...
