Is there any difference between .040 and .030 in likelihood of leaking? Assuming the surfaces are good enough to use a Cometic in the first place. I may have to go to a .030 to get the quench right, since the pistons may be down in the hole by a few thousandths, at least on paper. I had it planned out pretty well until it turned out the block had to be bored.
