valve retainer locks wont come loose!!!!

need help on this one
cant get the retainer locks out on one of my springs...
changing springs right now....
how do I get the lock out????
any tricks....
tried jamming it up and down a bunch..
all i get is frustrated......

I have a little polymer head hammer that I smack them with really good before I compress them.. sometimes they take another smack to make 'em let loose. Btw.. how you like them new springs?

they look F*cking great.....
and I cant wait till all 16 are in...
right now stuck on cylinder 5 exhaust....
got 4 out of 16 in....

Yes these guys are telling you right when you have air on the cylinder take a rubber hammer and tap the retainers on both the valves to break the tight seal due to getting hot and cold and high rpms etc...
